Product Breakdown

About this tyre

Handles every load on every road.

  • High durability in challenging road conditions
  • Long-lasting even under heavy load
  • Highly resistant tread compound

Wet grip:

Secure grip in wet conditions is crucial for safe driving. Performance is graded into classes, A to G (although D and G are not currently used). The stopping distance between a class A tire and a class F tire can be as much as 18 metres.

Fuel efficiency:

Reduced rolling resistance saves fuel and cuts CO2 emissions. Class A tires deliver the best fuel efficiency, with each subsequent class through to G increasing fuel consumption by between 0.42 and 0.56 mpg for a car which does 36 mpg.

Rolling noise:

This is the external noise made by the tire and is measured in decibels. The more filled bars shown on the label, the louder the tires.

Tyre Benefits

ContiSure Warranty

ContiSure Warranty for all Continental-branded passenger, LCV, SUV and 4×4 tyres.

Continental Tyre South Africa offers customers the ContiSure Warranty when purchasing Continental-branded tyres from participating BestDrive, Tiger Wheel and Tyre and Tyres & More dealers.

This ContiSure Warranty enables customers to receive a credit towards the purchase of a new replacement tyre, when suffering irreparable damage to a tyre, and is applicable across South Africa, Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia and Swaziland.

With the ContiSure Warranty, if the tyre is damaged within the first 30 days or 2 000 km after purchase and cannot be repaired, the customer receives a full credit towards the purchase of the same, or similar, new Continental tyre.

For incidents occurring after 30 days or 2 000 km from inception of the ContiSure Warranty, the value warranted is calculated by firstly measuring the remaining tread of the damaged tyre, and deducting from that the 1.6 mm Continental’s recommended Tread Depth limit. This figure represents the remaining tread, which is expressed as a percentage of the original tread depth and thereafter multiplied by the original purchase price (after discounts) of the tyre as recorded on the Original Sales Invoice. The rand value as determined using the above formula constitutes the credit value which the Customer will be entitled to use towards the purchase of a new replacement Continental branded tyre. The Customer receives a capped credit up to the value of R2 500.
