BestDrive Girls’ Trip ContiSure Competition

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully. Participation in this Promotion will constitute your agreement to comply with these Terms and Conditions.  If you do not agree with these Terms and Conditions, please do not participate.

The Terms and Conditions set out below apply to all participants in the BestDrive Girl’s Trip ContiSure Competition taking place on the BestDrive Facebook and Instagram pages.

Important clauses, which may limit our responsibility; place an obligation on you to indemnify us; involve an acknowledgment of any fact; or involve some risk for you, will be in bold and italics. You must pay special attention to these clauses.

1. THE PROMOTION

1.1 The BestDrive Girls’ Trip ContiSure competition ("the Promotion") is conducted by BestDrive South Africa (Pty) Ltd (“the Promoter”), with registration number 2013/059163/07 and principal place of business at Cadle Street, New Brighton West, Gqeberha.

1.2 This giveaway is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by Meta (Facebook/Instagram).

2. THE PROMOTION PERIOD

2.1 The Promotion will take place from 8 August to 7 October 2025 (both dates inclusive). Note that the Promotion has been extended.

2.2 The duration of the Promotion may be extended or curtailed at the discretion of the Promoter.

3. WHO MAY PARTICPATE

3.1 All Participants must:

• be a natural person and at least eighteen (18) years of age at the date of entry
• be a citizen of the Republic of South Africa, and/or a legal resident
• be in possession of a valid South African Identity Document or passport with a residence/work permit.
• Must self-identify as female. This must be reflected in a valid South African Identity Document or passport. The Promoter reserves the right to request documentation confirming gender as officially recognised for eligibility verification purposes.

3.2 Participation in this Promotion excludes directors, members, partners, promotional and advertising agents, merchandisers, employees, any fleet or account business or consultants of the Promoter, their agencies, organizers and participating stores of the competition and the spouse, life partner, parent, child, brother, sister, business partner or associate of any of the said persons.

4. HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN THE PROMOTION

Enter to stand a chance to win a R10 000 prize by doing the following: (note that the Promotion entry requirements have been amended)

4.1 Step1 – lucky draw entry for R5000

• Comment on the BestDrive Girls’ Trip ContiSure competition post on Facebook and Instagram with your epic girls’ trip plans.
• You will tag your trip besties in your comment.
  
  

4.2 Step 2 – receive an additional R5 000 as a double-up prize if you do the following within the competition period:

• Buy any Continental tyre at a BestDrive fitment centre.
• Register for free ContiSure warranty.
  
  

4.3 By entering, you agree to these terms and allow BestDrive to use your name and likeness for promotional purposes.

4.4 Only one entry per person or Meta account

5.PRIZE

5.1 The Promotion will afford the participant a chance to win:

a) Five thousand rand (R5 000) cash prize.
b) Five thousand rand (R5 000) double up prize.

5.2 Promotional images are merely a representation of what the prize money can be used for.

5.3 Prizes are not transferrable or exchangeable and if not taken up for any reason, they shall be forfeited.

5.4 The winner will accept the prize as is. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute any of the prizes for a different prize of similar value.

5.5 The winner will be responsible for any costs resulting from accepting this prize.

5.6 Any risks in relation to the prize (such as loss, theft or damages) will pass to the winner once the prize has been collected. The Promoter will hold no liability for the use of this prize by the winner.

6.AWARDING OF PRIZE

6.1 One winner will be randomly selected for a R5000 prize using excel random selection, once selected the step 1 (4.1) competition requirements will be checked . If the entry is wrong or incomplete, the selection process will restart until such a time that the qualifying entry is made by the winner.

6.2 The winner will be notified via DM (direct message) on Facebook or Instagram by the Promoter’s marketing agency Good News Lab (GNL) and requested to submit a stamped bank confirmation letter, certified Identity Document copy, mobile number and email address.

6.3 If the winner confirms that the winner completed step 2 of the entry requirements (4.2) the prize will double up to R10 000 and payment will be made into the winner’s bank account via a single bank deposit transaction.

6.4 The Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into. Should the winner not be contactable via direct messaging (DM) within 5 working days to respond to the request on banking related details, the prize will be transferred to the next randomly selected entry. Another minimum 5 working days is required for the winner to submit their banking related details.

6.5 The prize will be transferred into the winner’s bank account within 5 days if all required document submission by the Promoter’s incentive agency – WOW Marketing Agency.

6.6 By accepting the prize, the winner consents to having their name and likeness publicly announced and shared on the BestDrive Facebook and Instagram pages, for the purpose of declaring the winner of the prize. If the winner declines to have their name shared, they will forfeit their claim to the prize.

6.7 By accepting the prize, the winner can decide to tag BestDrive or share their girls’ trip pictures and BestDrive will make a decision to post or not post the images.

7. INDEMNITY

7.1 To the extent permitted by the Consumer Protection Act and any other applicable law, where the Consumer Protection Act or any other such law applies:

7.2 The participant hereby indemnifies the Promoter, its associated companies (directors, officers and employees) and agents against any direct, indirect, special, incidental, consequential or punitive damages or loss of any kind regardless of how this was caused, and whether it arose under the law of contract or delict or otherwise, because of the participants’ entrance to the Promotion or acceptance of any prize.

7.3 The Promoter excludes all warranties (express or implied), representations and liabilities regarding this Promotion (other than for death or personal injury caused by its gross negligence and/or fraud).

7.4 The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of participants (including but not limited to a participant’s identity and age) and to reject any participant who has not complied with these Terms and Conditions. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter’s discretion.  Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.

7.5 The Promoter reserves the right to carry out reasonable due diligence to help ensure that the use of any such person in advertising or publicity for the Promotion will not bring the Promoter or any of the Promoter’s brands into public disrepute, contempt, scandal or ridicule or reflect unfavourably on the Promotion as determined by Promoter in its sole discretion.

7.6 Neither the Promoter nor its agents or distributors will have any liability in relation to this promotion, to the extent permitted by law.

8.PROCESSING OF PROTECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

8.1 In addition to our Processing notice for suppliers and customers available here, we set out below how we, as BestDrive South Africa, the promoter, collect, use, and share your Personal Information and the reasons why we need to use and process certain of your Personal Information to facilitate this promotion.

8.2 The promoter will process your name, delivery address, email address and cell phone number, in order to determine the winner / perform audits.

8.3 By participating in this promotion, you consent to your personal information described above to be processed for the purpose described above. You have a right to withdraw your consent at any time.

8.4 There is no automated decision making regarding this processing activity.

8.5 We do not collect personal information automatically.

8.6 The supply of the information by you is not mandatory. If you do not provide the information, you will not be able to participate in this promotion.

8.7 Your personal information will be collected from you or from our service providers who collect it from you on our behalf, and which will be shared on a need-to-know basis with certain third parties or employees of the Promoter, for the purpose of giving effect to this competition, including lawyers, advertising agencies, auditors, Information Regulator and the National Consumer Commission (NCC).

8.8 The Promoter may disclose a Participant’s information where it has a legal duty in terms of applicable legislation, or where it may be deemed necessary in order to protect the Promoter.

8.9 The Promoter will collect, store and use (not share) personal information of participants for communication or statistical purposes.

8.10 The Promoter may use names and images taken of the winners/participants for publicity purposes, without any further remuneration being payable to the winner. All promotional material will become the sole property of the Promoter. However, the participant/winner has the right to decline participating in any promotional activity or to object to these images being used by written notification to the Promoter at Best Drive South Africa (Pty) Ltd, Cadle Street, New Brighton West, Gqeberha Attention: Compliance Department, dataprotection@conti.co.za The written notification is to reach the Promoter by no later than the stipulated promotion period.

8.11 Once your Personal Information is no longer required due to the fact that the purpose for which the Personal Information was held has come to an end, such Personal Information will be retained for 3 years after the registration and thereafter deleted if there is no new legal basis to retain the personal information.

8.12 You have the right to access the personal information that the Promoter holds about you. You further have the right to request that the Promoter updates, corrects or deletes their personal information on reasonable grounds. The exercise of your right must be made in writing to the Promoter at BestDrive South Africa (Pty) Ltd, Cadle Street, New Brighton West, Gqeberha Attention: Compliance Department, dataprotection@conti.co.za.

9. GENERAL

9.1 The Promoter reserves the right to amend, modify, change, postpone, suspend or cancel this Promotion. Terms and Conditions, or any aspect thereof, without notice at any time, for any reason that the Promoter reasonably deems necessary. All participants agree to waive any rights that they have in respect of this promotional competition and acknowledge that they will have no recourse against the Promoter or its agents.

9.2 The onus rests on the participants to check the website for updates to the Terms and Conditions.

9.3 No liability shall lie on the Promoter in favour of any participant, winner(s) and/or third party arising from such cancellation, suspension or termination. Therefore, the participant waives his/her right which they may have against the Promoter and hereby acknowledges that they will have no right of recourse or claim of any nature whatsoever against the Promoter.

9.4 The Promoter may refuse to award the prize to any participant in the event that that they reasonably believe, in their sole discretion, that the winner is not eligible to receive the prize, has acted in a manner that is not in the spirit of the Promotion, their conduct can be reasonably interpreted as scamming or circumventing the terms and conditions of the Promotion, if there is any suspicion of any irregularities or fraudulent activities, if it would be unlawful to award the cashback. In addition, any entrants/participants/winners suspected of fraud will be disqualified from any future Promotions run by the Promoter or their associated agents.

9.5 If part or all of any the clauses of these Terms and Conditions is found to be illegal, invalid or unenforceable:

9.6 It will be read down to the extent necessary to ensure that it is not illegal, invalid or unenforceable, but if that is not possible;

9.7 It will be severed from these Terms and Conditions and the remaining provisions of these Terms and Conditions will continue to have full force and effect.

9.8 The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any winner/participant without informing the winner/qualifier in case such winner fails to comply with the Promotion’s Terms and Conditions.

9.9 Any personal information submitted by you will be used solely in accordance with current South African data protection legislation and the Promoter’s privacy policy which can be found at https://www.continental-tyres.co.za/car/dataprotection

9.10 All Terms and Conditions are subject to the laws of the Republic of South Africa and should a doubt or dispute occur, it will be taken before the Courts of the Republic of South Africa. By participating, participants consent to the jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of South Africa for any disputes arising under these Terms.

9.11 This Promotion is not applicable in conjunction with any other offers/ promotions offered by the Promoter.
