TERMS AND CONDITIONS: BESTDRIVE GETALOT MORE DASH PROMOTION

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully. Participation in this Promotion will constitute your agreement to comply with these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with these Terms and Conditions, please do not participate.  These Terms and Conditions are governed by the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008, and the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013.

The Terms and Conditions set out below apply to all participants in the BestDrive getalot more dashpromotion taking place on BestDrive’s Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Point-of-Sale Material, Print, Digital, Direct Marketing (in accordance with Clause 10 below) and any other media channels.

Important clauses, which may limit our responsibility; place an obligation on you to indemnify us; involve an acknowledgment of any fact; or involve some risk for you, will be in bold and italics. You must pay special attention to these clauses.

1. THE PROMOTION

1.1 The BestDrive getalot more dash promotion ("the Promotion") is conducted by BestDrive South Africa (Pty) Ltd (“the Promoter”), with registration number 2013/059163/07 and principal place of business at Cadle Street, New Brighton West, Gqeberha.

1.2 The promotion is administered by an independent agency, WOW Marketing Services (Pty) Ltd (WOW).

1.3 This giveaway prize is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Meta, Google, or any other media owner.

2. THE PROMOTION PERIOD

2.1 The Promotion will take place from 17 November 2025 until the promotions stock of Woolworths vouchers last or 12 December 2025 (commencement and end date inclusive).

2.2 The duration of the Promotion may be extended or curtailed at the discretion of the Promoter, provided reasonable prior notice is communicated to participants via the same channels through which the Promotion was advertised.”

3. WHO MAY PARTICIPATE

3.1 All Participants must:

  a. be a natural person and at least eighteen (18) years of age at the date of entry.
  b. be a citizen of the Republic of South Africa, Botswana, Namibia and Eswatini and/or a legal resident of these countries.
  c. be in possession of a valid South African, Botswanan, Namibian and Eswatini Identity Document or passport with a residence/work permit.

3.2 Participation in this Promotion excludes directors, members, partners, promotional and advertising agents, merchandisers, employees, any fleet or account business or consultants of the Promoter, their agencies, organisers and participating stores of the competition and the spouse, life partner, parent, child, brother, sister, business partner or associate of any of the said persons.

4. PROMOTION CRITERIA AND ENTRY MECHANICS for South African residents/citizens

4.1 Customers who purchase qualifying Continental tyres and quantities at any BestDrive dealership qualify to receive a Woolworths voucher:

  4.1.1 When customers purchase 2 Continental tyres (sized 15” & 16”), they qualify for a R250 Woolworths voucher.
  4.1.2 When customers purchase 2 Continental tyres (sized 17” and above), they qualify for a R600 Woolworths voucher.
  4.1.3 When customers purchase 4 Continental tyres (sized 15” & 16”), they qualify for a R600 Woolworths voucher.
  4.1.4 When customers purchase 4 Continental tyres (sized 17” and above), they qualify for a R1500 Woolworths voucher.

4.2 Promotion entry

How to claim: Consumers must scan the QR code displayed on the point-of-sale elements in-store.

When consumers scan the QR code, the promotion WhatsApp on the consumer’s smartphone will automatically open and request the consumer to upload their invoice. WOW will then verify the invoice. Once the invoice is verified, WOW will, via WhatsApp, request the consumer to provide the following information:

• • First name
  • Surname
  • Cellphone number
  • Email address
  • ID/ passport number
  • Dealership name
  • Invoice no
  • Country
  • Marketing consent (see 10.12)

Eligible consumers will receive their Woolworths voucher code within 30 minutes of verifications via SMS.  Each participant may claim only one voucher in this Promotion. Duplicate entries will not be processed. These vouchers are only for use within Woolworths stores & excludes the Woolworths section within Engen stores.

How to redeem the Woolworths voucher:

a. Shop via Woolworths online or app
  i. Virtual gift cards/vouchers can be used on Woolworths Online (www.woolworths.co.za) without being converted into a physical gift card
in-store by simply using your 16-digit virtual gift card/voucher number and CVV number at the check-out.

b. Shop at Woolworths (clothing or food) in store and present your SMS plus Identity Document or Drivers Licence
  i. The WW store will transfer the 16-digit virtual gift card/voucher number and CVV number onto any of the 6 gift cards the customer chooses. The customer may use the gift card immediately if desired WOW will conduct audits on certain claims at random.

5. PROMOTION CRITERIA for Botswana, Namibia and Eswatini Lilangeni residents/citizen

5.1 Eligibility for cashback:

The BestDrive getalot more dash cashback promotion, as indicated on the point-of-sale material and other communication, will be awarded in either Botswana Pula (P), Namibian Dollar (N$) or Eswatini Lilangeni (E) - depending on the respective country:

  5.1.1 When customers purchase 2 Continental tyres (sized 15” & 16”), they qualify for a P/N$/E 250 cashback.
  5.1.2 When customers purchase 2 Continental tyres (sized 17” and above), they qualify for a P/N$/E 600 cashback.
  5.1.3 When customers purchase 4 Continental tyres (sized 15” & 16”), they qualify for aP/N$/E 600 cashback.
  5.2.4 When customers purchase 4 Continental tyres (sized 17” and above), they qualify for a P/N$/E 1500 cashback.

5.2 Promotion entry - How to participate:

• • The consumer will be rewarded immediately with a discount off the invoice by the BestDrive dealer where the qualifying purchase is made.
  • The promotional cashback offer cannot be transferred and must be used immediately against the transaction for which it was awarded to.
  • The promotional cashback cannot be used against another or new purchase or transferred to an alternative purchase.
  • This promotional cashback is limited to one cashback per consumer and the offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotional offer.
    
    

6. QUALIFYING CONTINENTAL BRANDED TYRES

6.1 The following 15-inch (or larger) Continental-branded tyres qualify for the BestDrive getalot more promotion for retail customers only, no fleet business (a purchase on behalf of a business):

  a. Passenger tyres
  b. Light truck tyres
  c. 4x4 tyres
  d. Van tyres

7. PRIZE

7.1 The total Woolworths vouchers pot is worth R500 000. All Woolworths vouchers are valid for 36 months from date of issue in accordance with section 63(2) of the Consumer Protection Act.

7.2 The Woolworths vouchers are valid for 36 months from date of issue.

7.3 Giveaways are not transferrable or exchangeable and shall not be redeemed for cash and if not taken up for any reason, they shall be forfeited.

7.4 Recipients will accept the prize as is. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute any of the prizes for a different prize of similar value.

7.5 The recipient will be responsible for any costs resulting from accepting this giveaway voucher/cashback.

7.6 The Promoter will hold no liability for the use of this giveaway voucher/cashback by the recipient regardless of anything they purchase from Woolworths.

7.7 Entries will only be processed by WOW Programme Administrators on behalf of the Promoter between 8:30 and 16:30 on weekdays (Mondays to Fridays). Entries submitted by WhatsApp over weekends or after hours will be processed on the following, first business day.

8. AWARDING OF PRIZES

8.1 All consumers who purchase the necessary quantity and size of Continental-branded tyres, and qualify for the giveaway, will be eligible to receive the prize provided that vouchers remain available for award at such time.

8.2 By entering the BestDrive getalot more dash promotion, the entrant consents that their personal details will be stored in the BestDrive and WOW systems and allow WOW to communicate with them regarding this promotion, on behalf of the Promoter.

8.3 The Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

8.4 By accepting the prize, the Woolworths voucher recipient may consent to having their name and likeness internally announced within BestDrive internal and external communications channels, as well as publicly announced and shared on the BestDrive Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok pages, for the purpose of declaring the recipients of the giveaways and prizes. Winners who do not consent to publicity will still receive their Woolworths voucher, provided they meet all other eligibility and verification requirements. A written opt-out must be submitted by no later than the Promotion’s closing date.

9. INDEMNITY

9.1 To the extent permitted by the Consumer Protection Act and any other applicable law, where the Consumer Protection Act or any other such law applies:

9.2 The participant hereby indemnifies the Promoter, its associated companies (directors, officers and employees) and agents against any direct, indirect, special, incidental, consequential or punitive damages or loss of any kind regardless of how this was caused, and whether it arose under the law of contract or delict or otherwise, because of the participants’ entrance to the Promotion or acceptance of any prize. This indemnity does not apply to loss arising from gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or fraud by the Promoter.

9.3 The Promoter excludes all warranties (express or implied), representations and liabilities regarding this Promotion (other than for death or personal injury caused by its gross negligence and/or fraud).

9.4 The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of participants (including but not limited to a participant’s identity and age) and to reject any participant who has not complied with these Terms and Conditions. Errors and omissions (E&EO) may be accepted at the Promoter’s discretion.  Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.

9.5 The Promoter reserves the right to carry out reasonable due diligence to help ensure that the use of any such person in advertising or publicity for the Promotion will not bring the Promoter or any of the Promoter’s brands into public disrepute, contempt, scandal or ridicule or reflect unfavourably on the Promotion as determined by Promoter in its sole discretion.

9.6 Neither the Promoter nor its agents or distributors will have any liability in relation to this promotion, to the extent permitted by law.

10.PROCESSING OF PROTECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

10.1In addition to our Processing notice for suppliers and Consumers we set out below how we, as BestDrive South Africa, the promoter, as the Responsible Party as defined in POPIA, collect, use, and share your Personal Information and the reasons why we need to use and process certain of your Personal Information to facilitate this promotion. Where we use service providers who process information on our behalf, we have concluded the relevant agreements with the service providers to safeguard personal information, and the service providers adhere to the same or similar conditions for processing your personal information as we do.

10.2 The promoter will process your name, image, where applicable, identity number and cell phone number, to determine the recipient and perform audits.

10.3 By participating in this promotion, you consent to your personal information described above to be processed for the purpose described above. You have a right to withdraw your consent at any time.

10.4 There is no automated decision making regarding this processing activity.

10.5 We do not collect personal information automatically.

10.6 The supply of the information by you is not mandatory. If you do not provide the information, you will not be able to participate in this promotion.

10.7 Your personal information will be collected from you or from our service providers who collect it from you on our behalf, and which will be shared on a need-to-know basis with certain third parties or employees of the Promoter, for the purpose of giving effect to this competition, including lawyers, advertising agencies, auditors, Information Regulator and the National Consumer Commission (NCC).

10.8 The Promoter may disclose a Participant’s information where it has a legal duty in terms of applicable legislation, or where it may be deemed necessary in order to protect the Promoter.

10.9 The Promoter will collect, store and use (not share) personal information of participants for communication or statistical purposes.

10.10 The Promoter may use names and images taken of the participants/recipient for publicity and reporting purposes, without any further remuneration being payable to the winner. All promotional material will become the sole property of the Promoter. However, the participant has the right to decline participating in any promotional activity or to object to these images being used by written notification to the Promoter at BestDrive South Africa (Pty) Ltd, Cadle Street, New Brighton West, Gqeberha Attention: Compliance Department, dataprotection@conti.co.za The written notification is to reach the Promoter by no later than the stipulated promotion period.

10.11 Once your Personal Information is no longer required due to the fact that the purpose for which the Personal Information was held has come to an end, such Personal Information will be retained for 3 years after the registration and thereafter deleted if there is no new legal basis to retain the personal information.

10.12 Marketing communications will only be sent to customers who have explicitly opted in to receive promotional messages. BestDrive maintains records of marketing consent in compliance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Customers may withdraw consent at any time by following the opt-out instructions provided in the message.

10.13 You have the right to access the personal information that the Promoter holds about you. You further have the right to request that the Promoter updates, corrects or deletes their personal information on reasonable grounds. The exercise of your right must be made in writing to the Promoter at BestDrive South Africa (Pty) Ltd, Cadle Street, New Brighton West, Gqeberha Attention: Compliance Department, dataprotection@conti.co.za.

 11.GENERAL

11.1 The Promoter reserves the right to amend, modify, change, postpone, suspend or cancel this Promotion. Terms and Conditions, or any aspect thereof, on reasonable prior notice where required by law or circumstances beyond its control, for any reason that the Promoter reasonably deems necessary. All participants agree to waive any rights that they have in respect of this promotional competition and acknowledge that they will have no recourse against the Promoter or its agents.

11.2 The onus rests on the participants to check the website for updates to the Terms and Conditions.

11.3 No liability shall lie on the Promoter in favour of any participant, winner(s) and/or third party arising from such cancellation, suspension, or termination. Therefore, the participant waives their right which they may have against the Promoter and hereby acknowledges that they will have no right of recourse or claim of any nature whatsoever against the Promoter.

11.4 The Promoter may refuse to award the prize to any participant in the event that that they reasonably believe, in their sole discretion, that the recipient is not eligible to receive the prize, has acted in a manner that is not in the spirit of the Promotion, their conduct can be reasonably interpreted as scamming or circumventing the terms and conditions of the Promotion, if there is any suspicion of any irregularities or fraudulent activities, if it would be unlawful to award the voucher / cashback. In addition, any entrants/participants/winners suspected of fraud will be disqualified from any future Promotions run by the Promoter or their associated agents.

11.5 If part or all of any the clauses of these Terms and Conditions is found to be illegal, invalid or unenforceable:

11.6 It will be read down to the extent necessary to ensure that it is not illegal, invalid or unenforceable, but if that is not possible.

11.7 It will be severed from these Terms and Conditions and the remaining provisions of these Terms and Conditions will continue to have full force and effect.

11.8 The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any winner/participant without informing the winner/qualifier in case such winner fails to comply with the Promotion’s Terms and Conditions.

11.9 Any personal information submitted by you will be used solely in accordance with current South African data protection legislation and the Promoter’s privacy policy which can be found at https://www.bestdrive.co.za/data-security.

11.10 All Terms and Conditions are subject to the laws of the Republic of South Africa and should a doubt or dispute occur, it will be taken before the Courts of the Republic of South Africa.

11.11 This Promotion is not applicable in conjunction with any other offers/ promotions offered by the Promoter.
